Two charged in Pearl River County trafficking, sex crimes investigation involving child

PEARL RIVER COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)-Two Pearl River County residents are behind bars in a human trafficking and child sex crimes investigation involving a pregnant teenager.

Dawson and Sabrina Brown each face a long list of charges in the investigation, which began at the end of June after an anonymous tip was received by the state department of child protective services involving a pregnant 14-year-old.

Dawson and Sabrina Brown were taken into custody this past Friday in this case.

Dawson now faces charges of statutory rape, sexual battery, and human trafficking while Sabrina faces conspiracy to commit tampering with physical evidence and child neglect.

Investigators say this is still an active investigation and more arrests are possible.
