Two charged in early morning shooting in Gulfport

Two men have been charged in connection with an early-morning shooting on Faust Drive.

Police say 20-year-old Traevone Bailey and 31-year-old Rashann Thomas were each charged with two counts of aggravated assault. They were taken to Harrison County jail and bond was set at $500,000 each.

Officers were sent to the 100 block of Faust about 1:27 a.m. about a shooting. On scene, officers found a vehicle that had been hit multiple times by gunfire. There were two occupants in the vehicle, but they were not injured by the gunfire.

Detectives then discovered that an argument between the suspects and the victims escalated into the shooting. Bailey and Thomas were arrested during a traffic stop.
