Two Car Accident at the Intersection of Hwy 49 and Hwy 53

The Gulfport Fire Department and other emergency crews are working an accident at the Intersection of Highway 53 and Highway 49 in North Gulfport. At least two vehicles are involved, including an overturned truck. Four people were sent to Garden Park Medical Center to be treated for injuries. The accident happened just before 4 p.m. Tuesday afternoon. Traffic is down to one lane going north on Hwy 49. No word yet on what caused the accident.
