Two bodies found inside Woolmarket pharmacy
A man and a woman were found dead inside the Woolmarket Pharmacy on Shriner’s Boulevard.
It was business as usual for most of the morning at Woolmarket Pharmacy. That is until police received a call just after 11 a.m. reporting shots fired. Major Chris De Back with Biloxi PD said, “When officers arrived, we found out that there were two deceased people inside the pharmacy.”
Major De Back tells News 25 the two people they found inside the store was the result of a murder/suicide. A source tells News 25 Daniel Day was the owner of the pharmacy. He was shot and killed and then the woman turned the gun on herself. Employee Donna Marrow said, “He’s deeply loved by the residents here. Dan is the type that does whatever you may need.”
Marrow was employed by Daniel Day. She tells News 25 he owned multiple pharmacies and was a part of the Woolmarket community for over 20 years. “He always helped out his employees however we needed. If it was financial help or medical help, he was there for everybody.”
Marrow also says she worked with the woman who was found dead and tells News 25 the two knew each other. “They had a friendship. I don’t know exactly how far it went. I am not going to speculate.”
Still no official word on what the motive may have been.
