Two arrested for felony child abuse in Harrison County
On Thursday, May 6th, 2021, Sheriff Troy Peterson announced the arrest of 25-year-old Hunter Patterson and 27-year-old Kelee Patterson of Saucier on one count each of felony child abuse.
According to Sheriff Peterson, on Sunday, March 28th, 2021, Child Protective Services informed Harrison County Investigators that the Patterson’s three-month-year old infant was brought into a local area hospital with a fractured arm and 15 healed or healing fractures throughout the child’s body.
The infant was transferred to USA Medical Center in Mobile for further treatment and testing.
Upon further investigation, it was determined that Hunter Patterson and Kelee Patterson were responsible for abusing the infant.
On May 5th, 2021, investigators obtained warrants on both Hunter and Kelee for felony child abuse. On May 6th, they both surrendered themselves to investigators on the warrants at the Harrison County Criminal Investigation Division.
The infant has been released from the hospital and remains in the custody of DHS.
Hunter and Kelee were booked into the Harrison County Adult Detention Center and are being held in lieu of a $25,000 bond each set by Justice Court Judge Melvin Ray pending their initial appearances.
