Two arrested, charged with first-degree murder in Harrison County
D’IBERVILLE, Miss. (WXXV)- Over the weekend in D’Iberville, a pair of arrests were made in connection to the murder of a Gulfport man.
Twenty-year-old Amonte Robinson was arrested alongside a 17-year-old by D’Iberville police on Friday. They’re now charged with first-degree murder after reports of a vehicle crash and gunshots.
The victim in that shooting has been identified as 34-year-old Lazavious Young of Gulfport.
Late Friday night, D’Iberville officers reported to a crash where they found Young dead in a car with a gunshot wound.
Witnesses say they saw two men resembling Robinson and the 17-year-old fleeing the scene.
With the help of K9s both suspects were arrested and are being held on first-degree murder, armed robbery, and shooting into a motor vehicle.
