Two armed suspects break into Gulfport home
Police are looking for two armed suspects after reports of a home invasion in Gulfport this morning.
Two men entered a home near 39th Avenue armed with handguns. Gulfport police say the female victim who reported the incident says the men took items from the home and keys to her vehicle.
Witnesses tell News 25 the invasion happened inside a residence in the L building off the Emerald Pines Apartments. A resident there says the complex has recently upped security to decrease the amount of criminal activity. Resident Parker Gooden Jr. said, “They got security out here. They do their job though. I don’t really see nothing, but that’s why they cut all these trees down so they can see what’s going on. The activity going around here and everything since they cut the trees down they’ve been slacked up with the crime and everything.”
Police say the suspects fled in a 2006 gray Ford Taurus with a Mississippi license plate.
