Turtle release set for Thursday in Biloxi
BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV)- It is turtle release season here on the Mississippi Gulf Coast and another big release is scheduled for later this week.
The Institute for Marine Mammal Studies plans to release five Kemp’s Ridley sea turtles on Thursday at the beach across from Edgewater Mall.
The turtles will be released at 9:30 a.m. If you can’t make it, a live stream will be on IMMS’ Facebook page.
