Trump says he’ll suspend federal gas tax to help address high fuel prices due to Iran war

DUBAI, United Arab Emirates (AP) – U.S. President Donald Trump says he will suspend the federal tax on gas to help Americans shoulder higher fuel prices caused by the Iran war.

Iran’s chokehold over the Strait of Hormuz has caused global oil prices to spike, rattling world markets.

Trump said Monday that a shaky ceasefire with Iran is on “life support.”
