Truck hauling potatoes catches fire on I-10 in Jackson County
JACKSON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)-The Jackson County Fire Protection team dealt with some baked potatoes yesterday morning.
An 18-wheeler was reported to be on fire near mile marker 51 around 9 a.m. Thursday.
When firefighters arrived, smoke was coming from the trailer axle.
The driver had most of the fire under control. The truck cargo was later identified as potatoes with no extension into the trailer.
The cause was determined to be mechanical failure.
