Troy Stokes Jr. receives Rawlings Gold Glove award
Even though their season is over, it’s never a bad time to talk Shuckers baseball. This time outfielder Troy Stokes Jr. receives some solid recognition.
Stokes was awarded the 2018 MiLB Rawlings Gold Glove for left field. The Brewers’ number 15 prospect recorded 217 putouts with a pair of outfield assists, logging 114 games in left field. He was a fourth round pick by the Brewers in 2014.
He ranked top 5 in the Southern League in six categories, finishing third in extra base hits with 48, fifth in walks with 65, and tied for fifth in home runs and triples.
Stokes becomes the second Shuckers player to win a Rawlings Gold Glove.
