Trent Lott International Airport launches new program

JACKSON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- The Jackson County Airport Authority announced on Tuesday that it has officially joined the Federal Aviation Administration’s Federal Contract Tower program.

Under this new program, the air traffic services at Trent Lott International Airport will now be provided through RVA, a nationally recognized contractor in specializing in air traffic control operations.

The addition of the contract tower will help ensure enhanced safety and efficiency to the airport along with providing support for military training operations.

It also allows for new industry and aviation opportunities, promoting growth to the Gulf Coast’s economy.
