Tree Falls On Woman

After severe storms and a large tornado passed through the south east over the weekend…

One Mississippi woman woke up to find herself pinned to her bed by a fallen tree.

The woman says this is what her jones county home looked like Saturday morning, after the tree smashed through her roof and onto her bed.

Kim was home… Alone.. With just her pets…

But she was able to grab her cell phone under her arm and call 911.

It took crews over an hour to cut the downed tree into pieces and get her into an ambulance.

She wasn’t comfortable being on camera, with bruises on her face from the injuries, but she and her stepmother both say she is lucky to be alive.

“I was just smothered, couldn’t breathe so luckily my phone was right under my side and I was able to grab it. I was trying to dial, well get Siri to dial and that just wasn’t working, so eventually I just got 911 dialed and they came.”

A 10-inch nail was removed from her head and she is recovering from a fractured pelvis.

But, today she’s walking around and packing up her damaged home.
