Treats for our Troops
Now through October 31st, the Floor Trader in Gulfport, Gautier and Mobile, Alabama will be collecting supplies to send to our troops overseas.
News 25 spoke with Vicki Rhodes, co-owner of the Floor Trader, who said the idea was inspired by her son, who just got back from his forth deployment. The veteran says fellow troops needs the essentials out there; the only thing really provided is toilet paper.
For a list of which items can be sent, visit The Floor Trader in Gulfport, Gautier or Mobile. They are also accepting checks to cover shipping.
“We need to support them. These are young men and women over there and they look to us. They love getting those packages and just opening it even though it’s just hygiene stuff. They get so excited over it,” said Rhodes.
