Update: Equipment issues affect traffic lights in Ocean Springs

Traffic lights on Highway 90 in Ocean Springs were knocked out of service on Tuesday morning after weather knocked out some Mississippi Power equipment.

Power was lost about 8 a.m. because of the weather. Mississippi Power said the outage was caused by an equipment issue at the power pole.

At one point, Mississippi Power’s outage map showed 800 customers without power. A spokesperson said power was restored by 9:15 a.m.

Mississippi Power was on scene this morning to resolve the issue on lights between Hanley Road and Ocean Springs Road.
