Transformer issue causes power outage in Waveland
Coast Electric customers in Waveland were without power for about an hour because of a transformer issue.
Spokesperson April Lollar said a transformer at the substation in Waveland went out, causing the power outage that affected about 2,500 homes.
But because the transformer was at the substation, once it was repaired, power was able to be quickly restored.
The power went out about 8:30 a.m. and was restored by 9:30 a.m.
