Traintastic holds grand opening in Gulfport

Hundreds of train lovers were out roaming through 50,000 square feet of ‘just train fun’ all weekend long.

The Mississippi Coast Model Railroad Museum held its grand opening for Traintastic at its new location on Pass Road in Gulfport.

It was an interactive experience as visitors quickly realized the displays feature some of the Mississippi Coast’s most popular features.

Guests were able to build tracks of their own while others preferred taking a ride on the caboose. Traintastic President Glenn Mueller said, “Everybody that comes in is going to smile and that’s really what our goal is, to bring joy, but also to bring families to come together. So, we’re seeing that here today for the first time live so we’re very excited to be accomplishing our goals. So, we’re really excited about that.”

Traintastic features more than 20 model train layouts and more than a dozen exhibits to explore.
