Trailer destroyed by fire on Big Creek Road

A hallowed out shell is what’s left of a trailer off of Big Creek Road.

A passerby discovered the trailer up in flames around 5:30 this morning. AMR, the Harrison County Sheriff’s Department, and fire crews from Harrison County, CRTC, and Air National Guard Airport Fire arrived on scene shortly after to see heavy smoke and fire overtaking the structure.

It took seven trucks and 15 firefighters 35 minutes to get the blaze under control. There was no one in the home at the time of the fire, but two firefighters were slightly injured while on scene.

An investigation is underway into the cause of the fire.
