Traffic stop on I-10 leads to seizure of 123 pounds of methamphetamine

HARRISON COUNTY, Miss. (WXXV)- Harrison County Sheriff’s Office seized 123 pounds of methamphetamine during a traffic stop on Interstate 10.

On December 10, a deputy conducted a traffic stop on a car hauler for a traffic violation on I10. During the stop, deputies searched a vehicle on the car hauler and located the meth, which was hidden in natural voids within the vehicle.

After checking shipping paperwork, it was learned the drugs were being shipped to Gulfport.

An investigation determined that the driver of the car hauler was not a person of interest and they were released pending further investigation.
