Traffic stop leads to charges of stealing lawn equipment

Two men are behind bars, accused of stealing mowers from a lawn care business.
Harrison County Sheriff Troy Peterson said in a press release that deputies made a traffic stop at Canal Road and Interstate 10 this morning because a vehicle was towing a trailer with no lights had duct tape covering the license plate.
Deputies learned that a riding lawn mower and a push mower that was on the trailer had been stolen from a home in Harrison County and the equipment was used for a lawn care business.
Dallas Parvin, 37, of Gulfport, and Joshua Waller, 40, who is listed as homeless, were arrested and charged with grand larceny.
They were taken to the Harrison County jail and are being held on $25,000 bond each set by Judge Brandon Ladner.
Parvin also has two outstanding warrants for uttering forgery and another for burglary. There is no bond on those charges.
