Traffic plan easing congestion on Highway 90 in Biloxi

With Scrapin’ the Coast and the Alan Jackson concert tonight at the Coliseum you can expect heavy traffic along Highway 90.

But don’t worry, Biloxi has a plan.

The familiar orange cones have once again been placed along Highway 90 as part of Biloxi’s routine event traffic plan.

It limits Highway 90 to one-lane westbound and one-lane eastbound. Officers will also be stationed at different intersections to control traffic flow. Biloxi Captain Milton Houseman said, “You need to be patient on Highway 90, there’s only so many cars we can put on that highway at one time and they can continue to move. I wouldn’t say avoid Highway 90. You should never avoid any part of our city. Just know it’s going to take you a while.”

Biloxi PD also emphases that drivers should be especially mindful of pedestrians crossing the highway.
