TRAFFIC ALERT: Traffic flowing again after grass fire at I-10 and Hwy 609

TRAFFIC ALERT: Traffic is flowing in both directions again after a grass fire at I-10 at Hwy 609 Friday evening forced the temporary closure of the interstate there.

According to Mississippi Highway Patrol Troop K, it all began after a small grass fire jumped to the median.

Fire crews put the two hot spots out relatively quickly, allowing normal traffic flow to resume.
