TRAFFIC ALERT: Tanner-Williams Road Bridge in Jackson County closed

The Jackson County Road Department has announced the immediate closure of Tanner-Williams Road as of this morning, Monday, June 16, 2025, following a recent state inspection of the Tanner-Williams Bridge.

Notification was received this morning from the state that the bridge requires structural repairs prompting the department to close the roadway to ensure public safety.

The closure will remain in effect until necessary repairs are completed. At this time, there is no estimated date for the completion of the work.

To assist motorists, a detour route has been established. Drivers are advised to use Highway 613 to Highway 614 to State Line Road back to Tanner-Williams Road as an alternate path.

Motorists are urged to use caution when traveling near the closure area and to obey all posted signs and detour instructions.
