Tour of Homes back in Gulfport for 59th year
The Gulfport Civic League is back this weekend to host the 59th Tour of Homes Coastal Cottage Christmas event.
The event will be held Sunday, December 12th from 2 to 5 p.m. Four homes, three on 2nd Street and one on Pratt Avenue, will be all-out decorated with unique decorations.
The price for the tour is a $15 donation which will be sent to different organizations that help adults and children with special needs.
Some of the decorations in the houses include a Beatles themed wall, decorated by former Beatles roadie Dick Waterman, and two brass chandeliers that came from the original Markham Building. Gulfport Civic League member Stephanie Smart said, “Come on out on Sunday, enjoy the festivities, pick up a few decorating tips and just come out and be with your friends and family and support your local community.”
Gulfport Civic League member Diane Miller said, “The people who own the homes we are very grateful to because they go all out to decorate their homes for the Christmas season.”
