Tornado Watch issued for South Mississippi as line of storms approaches (Saturday, Jan. 11)
(WXXV) — The National Weather Service has issued a Tornado Watch for South Mississippi.
The Tornado Watch is in effect until 4:00 PM Saturday for Pearl River, Jackson, Stone, Harrison, George, and Hancock Counties.
Additionally, Tornado Watches stretch across the northern Gulf Coast including coastal Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida.

The main line of storms will likely move through South Mississippi between 10:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m., bringing heavy rain, gusty winds, and the threat of tornadoes.

WXXV will have a meteorologist on standby to break into regular TV programming in the event a Tornado Warning is issued.
