Tornado Damage in Pass Christian

An afternoon tornado rips through both Hancock and Harrison counties, leaving significant damage behind.
Take a look at what the storm did to one trailer on Bell Creek Road in Pass Christian. The winds from the tornado ripped through the roof and destroyed multiple sheds on the property. The tornado also caused bark from a nearby tree to fall on the resident’s vehicle.
Owner of the trailer Glen Shaw tells News 25 he’s lived at the same place for 25 years and has never experienced anything quite like this. “I was in there, laying down and that boy of mine pulled up and went to hear some rough wind blowing. I came to the door and told him to get in the house, there’s a tornado hitting and by the time he got in the door, it hit. A lot of tin and all ripping apart. The tree limbs blowing, pretty rough wind and all.”
Shaw tells News 25 he’s happy that no one was hurt and that most of the damaged property is repairable.
