Tony Brown Gatorade Player Of The Year
The 4-A South State Champion East Central Football Program is coming off its best season, in school history… And star running back tony brown… Had a lot to do with that.
In fact, he had so much to do with it… He’s been named Gatorade player of the year… For the state of Mississippi.
On Monday morning, brown found out about the prestigious honor… Going to the gridiron’s best student-athlete… From the Magnolia State.
In 20-17, the 5’9″ 185-pound game-breaker… Was simply un-stoppable… Rushing for more than 27-hundred yards… And accumulating 50 total touchdowns… Through just 14 games.
And that’s despite leaving the state championship game, early in the second quarter… Before his hornets ultimately fell to Noxubee County, 41-35.
Brown scored 92 touchdowns over his final two seasons, in Hurley… And is the first player from the coast, to win Gatorade player of the year… Since Dylan Favre, of St. Stanislaus… In 2009.
