Tomb of the Unknown Soldier Ceremony at Beauvoir
The tomb of the Unknown Soldier and the ceremony that surrounds it in Washington D.C. is one of the more humbling sights anyone can take in. This weekend, a similar ceremony will be coming to the Coast.
Beauvoir is set to host a tomb of the Unknown Confederate Soldier tomorrow morning. The International Order of Odd Fellows began the ceremony in the early 1930’s and for the first time brings its ceremony to Mississippi. The soldier set to be honored tomorrow was discovered in late 1979.
This ceremony is meant to remember those who have given their lives to preserve and ensure the principals of the American way of life.
The ceremony begins tomorrow at 11.
