Today is National Pizza Day
Every year on February 9th, pizza lovers come together for National Pizza Day.
A broken oven did not stop Brooklyn Pizzeria from serving the City of Gulfport. Customers continued lining up for a taste of some signature style New York pizza.
The pizzeria was serving pizza by the slice, whole pizza pies, and even sub sandwiches.
After mastering his skills as pizza chef, Mark Cruthirds opened Brooklyn Pizzeria in 1993. He says it’s a mix of good people and food that keeps his business thriving. “We serve a good product. We got good community base that supports us and that’s always supported us. You served good food and treat people well, they’re going to keep coming back and that’s what we do here.”
Cruthirds did not know it was National Pizza Day when he woke up this morning, but wants to thank the community for the continued support over the last 30 years.
