Tired Dog Rescue hosts fourth annual ‘Howl-O-Ween’
Dog owners and dogs looking for new homes had a good time at Point Cadet Park on Saturday.
Tired Dog Rescue and Lakeview Animal Hospital teamed up once again to host the fourth annual ‘Howl-O-Ween.’ Dogs up for adoption were decked out in their coolest Halloween outfits and other pet lovers joined in for a costume contest and other fall events like bobbing for apples.
Tina Gabriel with Tired Dog Rescue says the event is a great way for those interested in adoption to interact with dogs in a fun and interactive setting. “A lot of times a dog doesn’t show great in a picture. So, you want to come out and see that dog and its personality and see if it’s a fit for your home. So that allows that opportunity to happen, sometimes people come out here not expecting to adopt. They’ll see a dog they just happen to fall in love with.”
Tired Dog Rescue provides care for sick and injured dogs and works to find forever homes for them.
