Tim Pierce sworn in as mayor of Long Beach

Long Beach, Miss. (WXXV)- Incoming Mayor Tim Pierce as well as the city’s Board of Aldermen and city clerk were sworn in Tuesday afternoon in font of a packed house of family members, friends and other community leaders.

Pierce unofficially won the mayoral race back in April, receiving 80% of the vote in the Republican Party Primary. He faced no opposition from a Democrat or Independent candidate in June’s General Election.

Three months later, his time in office officially begins.
