Tickets for USM-Ole Miss basketball game go on sale Thursday
Alright Golden Eagle and Rebel fans on the Mississippi Gulf Coast, this next update is for you!
As we announced earlier in May, Southern Miss and Ole Miss men’s basketball teams will be facing off right here on the Gulf Coast.
The two in-state rivals will battle it out on the hardwood on December 23rd at the Mississippi Gulf Coast Coliseum.
For 47 years, the coliseum has sporadically hosted college basketball games and Executive Director of the Mississippi Coast Coliseum and Convention Center Matt McDonnell is excited to host the competition between these two programs. “Anytime that we can get college basketball we really want it because it’s a change in pace of terms of programming and content for the facility, and it’s exciting in the fact that the head coach of the Golden Eagles is a local product that’s made good, Coach Jay Ladner, so we’re really excited to get him to come back and coach his first game at USM’s head coach in this building.”
This will be the first time the two teams have met for a regular season match-up since 2011.
Tickets for the game will go live tomorrow morning at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster and the Mississippi Gulf Coast Coliseum Ticket office near the administration office.
