Thunder over the Sound ready to take flight on the Coast

Thunder over the Sound is taking flight Saturday and Sunday and if you’re going, be ready for a show!

There will be a little something for everyone at the 2023 Thunder over the Sound Air and Space Show. Several flight demonstration teams will be doing solo routines and formation flying along with other military capabilities.

Some will even be parachuting from the sky, showing off their jumpmaster skills. There will also be a beer garden, a kids zone filled with fun activities, and the STEM expo where guests can learn about the latest technology being used in different industries.

Student David Mertz says events like this are good for your mental health. “Having times like this is like a break for everyone. Time to just have fun and chill, relax, and not really focus on school and just, like you know, have a good time. I know people who have family coming down. They get to see their family for the first time in quite a bit and it’s good for the morale.”
