Three-Year-Old Dies In Saturday Crash

Thursday Gulfport police said a three year old died after a Saturday morning car accident on Three Rivers Road and River Road. Just before 9:30 am, police responded to find a ford expedition that had struck a guardrail and left the roadway and a three year old was thrown from the vehicle. The child was transported to Garden Park Hospital with serious injuries and was then transported to the University Medical Center in New Orleans. The child passed away while at the university medical center. The vehicle was occupied with several other occupants who sustained non-life threatening injuries. There *was* a child restraint located during the investigation and no charges or citations were issued.
