Three Year Anniversary of Boston Bombings
Today marks the third anniversary of the Boston Marathon Bombings.
It was on April 15th, 2013 when the Tsarnaev brothers exploded two pressure cooker bombs near the marathon finish line. The blasts killed three people and injured more than 260 others.
This morning the governor of Massachusetts placed a wreath at the site of the second blast on Boylston Street. Boston’s mayor placed another wreath at the site of the first blast. A moment of silence took place throughout Boston at 2:49 p.m. as church bells rang throughout the city to mark the exact time the first bomb exploded.
