Three victims identified in fatal Greene County shooting

The search continues for the man who killed three people at a Greene County gas station New Year’s Day. We’re also learning more about the victims.

Greene County Sheriff’s Deputies say the suspect was waiting for the clerk to open the Clarke’s Gas station in the State Line community.

Meanwhile, family and friends identified the three victims as Rhonda Denson, Jason Thornton, and Lester Campbell.

Here’s what a friend of one of the victims had to say. “She was always kind. She was always friendly. She was just one of the best persons you’d ever meet, and the Thornton boy that lost his life was a good fellow. He never bothered nobody. He didn’t deserve it no more than Ms. Rhonda did. None of them deserved what happened.”
