Three Vehicle Accident in Gulfport

Traffic is rolling once again on Highway 53 and Mills Road in Gulfport after a multiple car accident.
According to the Mississippi Highway Patrol, one woman was taken to the hospital with minor injuries.
Master Sergeant Benjamin Siebert tells News 25 a Ford Fusion and a Chevrolet were stopped on Highway 53 waiting to make a left turn around 3 o’clock this afternoon when a Ford Escape rear-ended the back of the Chevrolet, pushing it into the Fusion. The driver of the Chevrolet was taken to Garden Park Hospital to be treated for minor injuries.
During cleanup, traffic was directed into a nearby convenience store parking lot. Traffic began moving freely again around 4 p.m.
