Three dead from weather related impacts in Mississippi

More information continues to come in regarding damage reports from the winter storm.

The death toll from winter-related impacts has risen to three with an additional death reported in Alcorn County.

To this point, 21 homes have reported major damage, along with 20 public roads reporting major damage.

Forty Mississippi counties have requested federal disaster assistance and the state is working with the National Guard and FEMA to set up a fuel distribution network for generators.

These numbers are set to change as more damage reports come in throughout the week.
