A Gulfport traffic stop on Friday led to the arrest of three people and the recovery of more than two pounds of Fentanyl.

Police arrested 39-year-old Tracy McCall, 35-year-old Marcus Lloyd and 31-year-old Jermiya Spears on drug related charges.

McCall and Lloyd were charged with possession of a controlled substance, Fentanyl and Spears was charged with trafficking Fentanyl.

All three were taken to the Harrison County jail. Lloyd and Spears also face federal charges and have no bond. McCall is facing state charges and bonded out Sunday.

The investigation began Thursday about 4:30 p.m. when a vehicle driven by McCall was stopped for an expired tag. Officers with the Anti-Crime unit saw four grams of Fentanyl in plain view and took McCall into custody. McCall was also found to have more than two grams of Fentanyl on him.

On Friday bout 7:56 p.m., the Anti-Crime Unit made contact with Lloyd and recovered about two ounces of Fentanyl. The unit then executed a search warrant on a residence with the help of the Harrison County Narcotics Unit.

Detectives recovered over two pounds of Fentanyl and nearly 16,000 fentanyl pills at the residence. The resident, Spears, was arrested. Police say a 2 mg dose can be fatal for an average adult and 2.3 pounds of Fentanyl contains more than 500,000 lethal doses of the drug.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact the Gulfport Police Department at 228-868-5959 or Mississippi Coast Crime Stoppers at 877-787-5898.
