Three more charged in gang related shooting in St. Martin Saturday

Three more men are charged in a gang related shooting that occurred Saturday evening. That brings the total number of suspects to eight.

Jayce Franklin, 20, St. James Parish, Louisiana, Keni Williams, 19, Biloxi, and Jo’Vawn McGee, 19, Gulfport, are each charged with aggravated assault and shooting at a motor vehicle. Bond for each is $750,000.

Sheriff Mike Ezell says while arguing over rap music, members of two local rival gangs began shooting at each other. The shooting occurred near McClellan Road, off Washington Avenue in St. Martin. The sheriff says two of the men were shot and treated for non-life threatening injuries. All of the people involved were in vehicles.

Others charged are: Quincy Brown, 22, of Pascagoula, and 21-year old Jimon Dixon of Biloxi, are each charged with armed carjacking, aggravated assault, and shooting at a motor vehicle. Their bonds are $1.25 million each. 20-year old Jalin Stallworth, Moss Point, aggravated assault and shooting at a motor vehicle. Stallworth’s $750,000 bond was revoked because he was already bonded out on a prior felony aggravated assault charge through Moss Point Police Department. 20-year old Cedric Porter of Ocean Springs, and 22-year old Tyler Polk of Biloxi, are each charged with one count of aggravated assault and one count of shooting into a motor vehicle. Their bonds are $750,000 each.

All eight suspects made their initial court appearances Wednesday afternoon before County Court Judge Mark Watts. This investigation continues with more arrests possible.
