Three arrested in drug bust in Jackson County

Jackson County Sheriff’s Deputies arrested three people while answering a call of a gun fired at a house in St. Martin.

Just before 8:30 last night, a woman told deputies someone shot at her house on El Dorado Avenue.  Deputies investigated the house directly behind hers on Durango Avenue. Sheriff Mike Ezell says the deputies found a trailer being powered by a stolen generator. A search warrant was issued, leading deputies to find three handguns and drugs.

William Chambliss and Anne Walker were arrested by Gautier police for possession of meth. Deveon Cunningham has a hold on him by the Department of Corrections for parole violation. He was charged with possession of a weapon by a convicted felon and several drug charges including possession of meth, heroin, cocaine, and oxycodone, and a felony charge for possession of marijuana.
