This week is National Tire Safety Week

Looking to hit the road soon? It is important to make sure your car is up for the challenge.

Today begins National Tire Safety Week. This awareness week is essential to help Americans as they continue to venture out of their homes more often.

According to a study from the USTMA, 70 percent of drivers across the U.S. reported not checking their tire pressure in the last 30 days.

Anthony Seal, who owns Seal’s Tire and Auto Repair, has some advice on how to make sure your tires are in good quality. “I think the most important thing is to make sure you check your tires monthly. Especially with the heat, right now the highways and roads are super-hot, so it’s good to stay on top of that. And also check your dates on your tires when they’re produced. Five to six years is kind of the max on tires.”

Check your tires and make sure you are ready to roll.
