Third teen arrested, charged after stray bullet kills Moss Point man on New Year’s Day
MOSS POINT, Miss. — A third teenager has been arrested in connection with an incident on New Year’s day that left a Moss Point man dead, according to the Moss Point Police Department.
Chief Dennis Stevenson says the teen was taken into custody on Wednesday and charged with negligent manslaughter. Two other teens are facing the same charge after police say a stray bullet pierced through a home on River Pine Drive on New Year’s Day, killing 47-year-old Joseph Whitt.
Moss Point Police say the shooting was accidental.
