Third suspect in September drive-by shooting in custody
Gulfport Police have the third suspect in a September drive-by shooting in custody.
Police said 23-year-old Kaleb Anderson was taken into custody on Monday. He is charged with drive-by shooting and had bond revoked on a previous charge of aggravated assault. He was taken to the Harrison County jail.
Police were called to the 13000 block of Dedeaux Road on September 23 in response to a call about a drive-by shooting. The victim had gotten into an argument with the suspects that escalated into a fight. The victim tried to leave and the suspects produced weapons and fired.
The victim leaned down in the car when he saw the weapons and one shot went through the headrest of his driver’s seat. The victim was not injured.
After the initial shots, the suspects got into their vehicle and pursued the victim to the 13100 block of Dedeaux Road, where they continued firing before fleeing the area, police said.
22-year-old Jayquarius Keyes was booked into the Harrison County jail on September 25 after turning himself in. He was charged with aggravated assault and drive-by shooting. His bond is set at $1 million. He remains in the jail.21-year-old Jaevon Kenderick Weems was arrested September 24 and charged with one count of drive-by shooting and aggravated assault. He was taken to Harrison County jail. His bond was set at $500,000 on the drive-by shooting. No bond was set on the aggravated assault charge.
