Third Stone Co. Murder Suspect Appears in Court

The third and final suspect involved in the murder of Stone County business owner, Timmy Garrison, appeared in court Monday.

Jody Robert Parks, 21, was denied bond and charged with capital murder. Parks was very nonchalant in court as he asked for a glass of water and requested permission to call his mother. Parks will remain jailed at the Stone County Correctional Facility. He will be represented by a court appointed attorney.

Lt. Ray Boggs, Investigator with the Stone County Sheriff’s Department, says, "We are just continuing on in this process. It’s a lengthy process due to the fact that you have three suspects. As far as our investigation, we’re pretty much focused now on the paperwork and making sure that we get all our information correct."

Parks has no existing adult criminal record.
