The Sun and Sand Music Festival

The Sun and Sand Music and Film Festival draw scores of renowned entertainment industry trendsetters from all over the world to right here on our Coast.
Each year the festival brings a whole new take on going to the movies. The general public was welcome to watch inspiring independent movies and then learn about all the work that goes into bringing the films to life. Seminars focused on film producers and experts were on hand this weekend to teach anyone who wanted to learn more about this booming industry. Producer Bobby Benton said, “It’s talking about budgeting and scheduling, letting the filmmakers see our future filmmakers as well as filmmakers that are in the state today. Letting them see what it takes to do the budget and the details they really need that maybe they haven’t been comfortable with in the past.”
Those in charge of putting this festival together are thankful for the opportunity to share their love of film with the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
