The Shoppe at Memorial holds grand reopening

Memorial Health System hosted a grand reopening ceremony this morning for its gift shop The Shoppe at Memorial.

Staff and visitors gathered to cut the ribbon on the newly revamped gift shop.

It offers a variety of items including over-the-counter medication, a wide selection of daily hygiene products, jewelry, flowers, plants, balloon bouquets for all occasions, and gifts for newborns.

All proceeds from the gift shop will be donated to the hospital for special projects in the community. Memorial Hospital Auxiliary Inc. President Cathy Elledge said, “So, we kind of are starting over and we knew we wanted to expand the gift shop. So, this is just a continuation of that process and it’s even better than we expected. It’s awesome.”

Director of Business Development Ashley Comstock said, “We are very excited about this new gift shop renovation. We have a lot of new things. So, when you are coming here to visit the hospital, either as a patient or as a loved one, come by our gift shop and see what we have because it’s going to be changing all the time and just know that all the proceeds are reinvested back into our patient care.”

The Shoppe at Memorial is owned and operated by the Memorial Hospital Auxiliary, Inc.
