The Shed gives away pulled-pork sandwiches for Labor Day

The Shed Barbecue and Blues Joint gave away free pulled pork sandwiches on Labor Day for the 12th year.

Over the last 11 years — The Shed has given away more than 7,000 pulled pork sandwiches for completely free.
The staff wakes up at 2 A.M. to smoke the pork and get everything ready for the day.
They started handing them out at 10:00 this morning — and they’ll keep going until the pork runs out.
Brooke Lewis, co-owner of The Shed, says this day is all about giving back to the customers who have been loyal to the business for nearly 23 years.

“It’s really important to us to be able to give back and to really express our gratitude for people who come through The Shed 365 days out of the year, to buy barbecue and have a fun family, drinkery experience here at The Shed. So any opportunity we have, especially on major holidays like this, to capture everyone, bring them out to the shed to get fed, and give back and pay that support and pay that gratitude back is what we like to do.”
