The rebuild continues for Moss Point
Alongside the pursuit of funds for Moss Point, the recovery continues as local and out-of-state construction workers rebuild homes.
One Stop Construction Enterprise out of Biloxi has led the way for the rebuild for citizens of Moss Point.
The company and its crew of about 16 workers are donating their labor. They’ve helped many residents to place tarp on their homes and are actively rebuilding houses.
Julian Ochua, a contracted worker from Las Vegas, has been on call for the past three weeks said working grueling hours to help tornado victims. “We’ve been one of the first crews out here, one of the only crews out here actually, to be out here right now. The city has been helping us out a little with the cleanup ever since like a week ago but we’ve been out here for three weeks already. We’ve been tarping the houses, all the houses around here. The other day we box some people’s houses, their clothes and stuff, and it’s just donating our free time after we get off of work. We put in a couple hours to help out the community.”
The construction company and many others say they will remain in the area until the work is done.
