The Pearl River Community College baseball program brought home the MACCC title!

For the third time in the last four seasons, the MACCC title is headed back home to Poplarville! The Pearl River Community College baseball team captured their sixth MACCC Championship this past Saturday.

Pearl River Central’s very own Caleb Dyess got the nod on the mound and never left!

With a complete game effort, he allowed only one Northwest run across the plate along with six total strikeouts, which makes it only fitting that the final out was in the form of a nasty breaking ball from Dyess. Now that’s a reason to dogpile!

The Pearl River Wildcats win the day and title over Northwest Mississippi with a final score of 7 to 1.

Other notable coast performers include Hollis Porter from East Central, who put the Wildcats on board first with a two run RBI in the first inning.

The Wildcats will now host the 2024 region 23 tournament May 13th through the 17th.

Congratulations, Wildcats!
